		<description>you are right that people rarely name things for what they are. it is easier (for the person saying it) to say, &#039; sorry to hear about your mum&#039;, than naming what happened. &#039;I am sad to hear you Mum died of cancer&#039;. but is it not easier for the person bereaved. It denies them the importance of their loss.
